ADVOCACY

The arts coalition provides information to area legislators, businesses and citizens about the contribution mady by local artists and art businesses to the creative economy of the area. It also advocates on behalf of it member artists whenever possible. This past year saw activity around the proposed budget of Governor Walker and the effect of budget cuts specifically to arts programming at the River Valley schools and to the Wisconsin Arts Board.
