03/31/12 - SGAAC Presents "Match Game"

7:00 PM

Remember the old American television game show Match Game hosted by Gene Raeburn? Celebrities answer fill-in-the-blank questions asked by the host and two contestants attempt to match the answers given by the six-celebrity panel. The contestant earns one point for each celebrity that writes the same answer. The show had a reputation for bawdy humor and double entendre answers. On Saturday, March 31, the Spring Green Area Arts Coalition will hold its annual fund-raising event based on this old game show Match Game. Prizes will be awarded to winning contestants and to members of the audience who play the game. The game show replaces Celebrity Squares which has been presented for the last six years. Local celebrities and master of ceremonies currently are being invited and will be announced at a later date. Watch this website for updates. Tickets are available for $12 at the General Store, Nina’s, Convivio, Arcadia Book Store, Pamela’s Fine Jewelry in Spring Green, The Shoppe--Herbs Spices and More in Arena and Annmarie’s Garden Café in Plain. Funds raised from Match Game will match funds from the Wisconsin Arts Board. The money benefits area artists and arts and cultural organizations in the River Valley through the Arts Coalition’s Creative Community Grants Program.
